An outdoor wedding is a beautiful sight to behold! Be it fall, spring or summer, there is something fresh and clean about an outdoor ceremony and reception. But always have a backup plan, as the weather can be unpredictable! If you are using the grounds of an estate or hotel, you should be able to make arrangements to move inside. If you are at a beach or in your own backyard, be sure to rent a tent. An outdoor wedding can be a simple affair with small votive candles, hanging lanterns and decorative lights or a grand event with a tented ballroom.Depending on your location, you may have to rent chairs and tables, if you are hosting the event in a public park or garden. If you are on the grounds of a larger estate, these may be readily available and there may be staff to set up for you. You need to consider the same for food. Will you have to cater it yourself and hire a wait staff or is this a location, which provides those services. For a really easy going, relaxed wedding, have a picnic, buffet, or even a barbecue. An outdoor wedding affords you the opportunity to really be organic in your design and keep everything minimal, but still make an impressive impact. On the flip side, you may want to rent a tent and create a glorious hideaway within the trees. Maybe create a castle deep in the woods or an old cottage nestled within a forest. Any fairytale can be yours. If you are not using a tent and only the canopy of the trees, take the time to create mood lighting. Wrap some tree trunks with small white lights. Find invitations and thank you cards that are printed on natural paper or paper that is pressed with leaves or flowers to carry out the outdoor feel.
