Do I have to have centerpieces?

We are having a small reception, and we spent most of what I wanted in flowers. I was thinking of a candle in a mirror and petals flowers, but do not know if I want to spend more money! My mother wants to decorate the room with tulle and other things, but I'm thinking about not doing that. Only tablecloths and bouquets of flowers at the main table. It's a small room facility 50, and the walls look like stone. What do you think?

I think some candles and flower petals on the table would give a nice touch - but I would jump decoration tulle and others. I think that should only keep it simple. But honestly, unless we have centerpieces that do not really have to. Nobody will really notice. Most weddings I've been unable to remind their centers ... ?
