Here you will find great ideas for beautiful wedding table decorations for less money, thanks to Toronto Wedding Photography research and advice to make your wedding day elegant and memorable.

A wonderful idea for centerpieces for the tables at the reception includes clear bowls with water filled ½ in them and candles floating in colors to compliment the wedding colors with an added touch of fresh flowers mixed in for an exquisite decoration scheme. Centerpieces can also be made with flower pots decorated to coordinate with the weddings theme and have votive candles atop sand in the pots then surrounded with fragrant flowers for a nice and charming setting at every table. You can also decorate the tables with linen table clothe and scatter about elegant petals of roses in red, pink nor yellow for ambiance to the reception settings and place lovely candles in the middle for a glow of romance. There is one of the perfect places for the most romantic reception and ceremonies as well as wedding photography in Mississauga a friendly city with the wedding feel all around it.

You can decorate the wedding tables with floating candles which look like slices of oranges, limes and lemons placed in clear bowls for a unique twist to the décor and  once lit will fill the air with delectable scents of fruit while enjoying the festivities. These also make wonderful backgrounds for your wedding photography at the reception as well.

Using floating candles is budget friendly and lets you decorate in so many ways as they come in so many different designs and shapes such as butterflies, hearts, doves, leaves, Christmas shapes for the winter themed wedding, different flower designs and so much more to add the element of imagination and uniqueness to your dream day. Your wedding photography expert can photo all of the immaculately decorated reception tables as well as the foods for a memorable addition within your wedding album.

For a more glittering wedding reception experience you should decorate with grand glittering pillar candles in an assortment of shapes for every table as well as the buffet or dessert tables. These come in many colors but most popular for us in weddings are reds, silvers, gold’s, dark greens, mauves and deep wines or browns covered with shining lights of glitter within them, once lit they truly light up the whole room with glimmering effects. Wedding photography photos done will be truly extravagant and awe inspiring.

A more simple type wedding table decoration is to have a lovely decorated flower pot with a bouquet of flowers within it and added fillers of glittering stalks or baby breaths nestled throughout. You should use flowers which are within the bridal bouquet and are in the same color ranges of the weddings theme itself for the most attractive venue. Another easy idea is to use silver, gold, white or pastel colored balloons tied with white strings and attached to a nice little gift bag of candy assortments for  each table. This is definitely budget friendly and will give guests the added treat of enjoying tasty chocolates, caramels etc while visiting and celebrating your joyous day with you.

Wow, the year has flown by and in just a few days Thanksgiving will be here. We keep hearing about the economy not being as strong as it used to be, so what I thought I would do is suggest some entertaining ideas and Thanksgiving table decorations that are low-cost and that you can add to your holiday party ideas portfolio.

Let’s start with a centerpiece of colorful Thanksgiving flowers that you can pick up at the market. Use a color scheme of orange, yellow, red, rust, white and green tones and pick up sunflowers, dahlias, Gerber daisies and hydrangeas that are readily available at the market or flower shop. One of the entertaining ideas I suggest is to take these Thanksgiving flowers and arrange them in items you already own like glass vases or water pitchers. Other holiday party ideas for Thanksgiving include taking natural elements such as a pumpkin, hallowing out the center and then using the pumpkin as a vase for your Thanksgiving table decorations.

An interesting twist on Thanksgiving table decorations is to take a sunflower or Gerber daisy, cut the majority of the stem off leaving a couple of inches and then use rocks or glass stones to anchor the stem down at the bottom of a low glass vase and fill it with water. Add a floating candle if you wish and there you have a stylish, low-cost arrangement using a selection of Thanksgiving flowers. What I also like about this arrangement is that you can recycle the elements for other occasions as well.

Another one of the entertaining ideas discussed in Budget Bash is to use candles. The more the merrier and they really set a nice mood to any event. Instead of using glass votives, why not as part of your Thanksgiving table decorations use mini-pumpkins or green acorn squash, hallow out the center and then place a votive candle inside. Now you have a creative twist and a conversation starter on your dinner table or buffet.

Holiday party ideas for Thanksgiving include complimenting these vegetable votives with magnolia leaf table place cards. Simply pick up from a florist a bunch of magnolia leaves and use a gold metallic pen to write your guest’s name on the leaf. You can also use maple leaves as well for these place cards. In fact, why not use a combination of maple leaves, silk and real Thanksgiving flowers as part of your Thanksgiving table decorations. You can also save money on Thanksgiving flowers by just clustering or grouping different flowers on the table for the evening or purchasing some rose petals and placing them on the table for extra color as well.

One of my favorite entertaining ideas for Thanksgiving is a dairy-free pumpkin pie. Just substitute cornstarch for the eggs and soy milk for the evaporated milk.

I hope you found these entertaining ideas for Thanksgiving table decorations helpful. Until next time, remember the Budget Bash mantra; make it simple, delicious, stylish, fun & economical to all!

Last week I discussed an “orange” themed Halloween party and now I will share with you some Halloween party tips for Halloween table decorations. These tips are easy to do and inexpensive to produce.

With all of my events, no matter if they are serious fundraising galas or whimsical birthday parties; I still like to keep an element of style, hip and class to the table d?cor. Even when I use inexpensive props such as the Halloween items for this Halloween display, I still like to mix and match with more expensive-looking or natural Halloween items too.

There are so many choices when looking at decorations for Halloween. What I like to do is collect Halloween items during the season and then on November 1st, go back to the drug store or party supply store and pick-up whatever is left over and inexpensive. Nothing makes me feel better than garnering bargains on cheap Halloween decorations. I make sure to buy items that I will have a use for and that will store easily in my party planning design box, an item I discuss in Budget Bash – Simply Fabulous Events on a Budget.

To create the whimsical Halloween table decorations for this article I used the following:

Gold organza fabric for a table runner – You can buy any type of fabric and make a table runner, scrunch up unfinished fabric down the center of the table or use pinking sheers and cut a runner for a one- or two-time use (more uses are possible if you are careful with the fabric). For this table, I used a table runner from a previous event and scrunched it down the center of the table.

I picked up the following decorations for Halloween at the end of the season a few years ago and have kept these items in my party planning design box. These cheap Halloween decorations are candy corn twinkle lights, decorative candy dishes, orange votive candles and glass votive candle holders, mini-plastic pumpkin buckets and a witch’s hat. I may have spent a total of $15 for all of these Halloween items and have used them for the past three seasons.

While I was picking up dinner at the market, I grabbed a bunch of sunflowers, rust-colored mums, Halloween candy and mini-pumpkins. A fun idea is to carve the mini-pumpkin’s center and sides (if you have the time) to create votive candle holder. If not, do what I did and just add them to the table as a d?cor item.

Decorating the table was fast and easy. I just scrunched up the table runner and intertwined the candy corn twinkle lights with the fabric runner. I placed the witch’s hat in the center of the table (I stuffed the center of the hat with a paper bag to make it stand up straight), filled the candy dishes with Halloween candy, placed the votives and pumpkins on the table and then placed the sunflowers loosely on the table. To add a bit of color besides orange and yellow to the table, I pulled out two small blue vases and placed the mums in those.

To create the total look of the Halloween table decorations didn’t take long at all and I coordinated my food shopping along with it. An added bonus to this table decoration is that it will last quite a few days. Just remember to unplug the lights when you are not around the table to prevent any type of electrical hazard from happening and if you have animals who like to leap onto your dining room table, you may want to remove the candy and loose flowers as well when you are not in the room.

I hope you found this Halloween party decoration tip useful. To learn more about party planning on a budget, read Budget Bash – Simply Fabulous Events on a Budget. Until next time remember to have fun and be a guest at your own party!
